LIONSGATE+ (formerly Starzplay) was home to iconic black TV shows like the Power universe, BMF and P-Valley. Their comms ethics was centred around diversity, inclusion and representation, but the scaffolding had to be in place first to talk about it in the UK.

So I had the idea of partnering with Black British cultural platform, GUAP mag, and becoming the lead sponsor of - GUAP Gala - a Black-led awards night created to recognise underrepresented talent across the arts and culture sectors. Or as some others may know it, London’s answer to the Met Gala.
